Senior Photos with Jake

This was a really fun shoot! Jake is a swing dancer, and wanted to incorporate some rat-pack shots into his senior portraits. I had a ton of fun doing that as I am partial to that era as well. :) It’s so fun getting to know my seniors – I spend up to six hours with them during a shoot so it really gives me a chance to talk to them. Jake is a really great kid and I’m so happy to have him as part of my portfolio.

And here he is back in 2008:

Wonderful session with newborn baby Jasmine

I really loved this session with baby Jasmine! Not only was she sweet as can be, but her parents were adorable also. I was reminded of what it was like to have a new baby when Dad fell asleep on my couch in my home studio! It was so cute! He woke up just in time to be in some of the photographs, and you could tell he was just in love with his little girl. :)

There are definitely some benefits to doing a session at my home studio; I have all my accessories and props at my disposal, so there is so much more variety in the photographs. This was a really fun session and I’m super pleased with the outcome. Enjoy!

Two Month Old Britta

Britta was such a smiley girl! Her Mommy is anxious to utilize a little tea set in photos, and I promised her that as soon as she sits up we will get some darling little shots! Look for that in four months or so - I already have ideas. :)  This first shot is my favorite from the session, isn’t it so sweet?

It’s Miss Caelin!

I never share this many from one individual session on my blog, but this time I just couldn’t choose a favorite! I met Miss Caelin and her gorgeous mama last Saturday, and we had a fun time singing and playing peek-a-boo. Surely, if you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands; Caelin sure is! :)

and one that makes me giggle, courtesy of Caelin’s mom:
